It is an exciting time welcoming a baby into your life. With one of the many exciting aspects being the time when you are ready to decorate your baby’s first nursery. But, sometimes this can be difficult, with many new parents not knowing where to begin. So, today we are going to share with you some tips for decorating your baby’s first nursery.
Colour Scheme
One of the first thoughts that come to mind when decorating a baby’s nursery is the colour scheme. With some parents finding out the gender of their baby beforehand, it is easy to choose a theme that is more leaned towards the gender. But, if you are a parent that has not found out the gender, it can be difficult to decide what to go for, with something that is more gender-neutral. We would recommend that you stick to creams and greys for the colour scheme, with the potential theme revolving more around teddy bears.
Furniture Requirments
When you head out shopping to purchase furniture for your baby’s nursery, you can be inundated with different options. But in hinds sight, there is more furniture being offered to you than what you truly need. The essential furniture for a baby’s nursery is essentially somewhere to sleep and somewhere to store clothes and nappies. Optional extras include a changing table, rocking chair and nappy bin. We found our changing table to be useful for storing the bits needed for a changing and bathing session, but we never used it for changing the baby on.
There are so many different options when it comes to decorating your baby’s first nursery. With most of us wanting to get it right the first time around. When the baby’s mum starts the nesting period, you will find that it all comes together very quickly!
