You don’t always have to head to the shops to pick up your homeware items, you can make quality homeware yourself, and we’re going to talk you through some popular ideas.
DIY Domino Clocks
Dominos are a favourite in British pubs, mainly for playing purposes, but they can be used to create a stunning wall clock. If you have an old clock, you can take the motor and the arms out, and carefully position the dominos in the positions on a wall. So the domino with one spot will be number one and the domino with 7 spots will be positon 7 on the clock etc.
DIY headboard
Nothing adds character to a bed like a headboard, and there are plenty of ways in which you can create your own. One popular option is using the wood from crates to create a panelled design, yet you can even cut and finish old rustic oak doors for a classic touch.
DIY Lamps
Lamps are relatively easy to make when you have the body, but you can use things like bottles, tins, hats and other items to create the lamp shade.
